Dopamine for negative symptoms

I need dopamine and lots of dopamine to fix my negative symptoms.

Problem is dopamine worsens psychosis over time :poop:

Maybe Strattera will work as it only increases dopamine in prefrontal cortex and not in the striatum where positive symptoms are.

I will become as good as before my first sz symptoms that appeared at 16y.o.! :innocent:

I would advise against Strattera but its’ ur personal choice.

Did you try it?

yeah it worsened my symptoms/masked them/was sort of like an anti-depressant I have discovered over time there are certain ones I cant take: Strattera, Prozac, Wellbutrin, Trazadone, Lamictal, Geodon, Seroquel. Those are all the meds I have had bad reaxtions to some worse than others. Some reactions were mild or like with Lamictal and Seroquel deadly/seizures or a rash.

Maybe you could look into a vitamin or nootropic to boost the dopamine?

Yeah, I know how it feels. I need dopamine too. That’s the reason why I struggle with a minor alcohol and drug addiction.

In your case I wouldn’t recommend MAO- Inhibitor (increase dopamine).

I tried it, and it gave me two beautiful years, but the effect slowly decreased.

My Pdoc is considering putting me on an opioid agonist to increase dopamine, and that’s not an option for you.

I dont know what to do in your case, you could try to eat tyramine increasing foods, like blue cheese, and fermented meat (ham)

Tyramine increases dopamine.
