Anyone tried Strattera for negative symptoms?

Any success with Strattera?
It increases dopamine only in prefrontal cortex and not in other brain parts like striatum where antipsychotics work by blocking dopamine. Also it doesn’t increase dopamine in the nucleus accumbens so its not addictive unlike Adderall/Ritalin/Ldopa and other dopamine agonists. Prefrontal cortex is responsible for motivation.

I am asking my Dr about it instead of trying Rexulti as Rexulti will very likely cause the same problems as Abilify.

So it shouldn’t worsen psychosis in theory.

Strattera is not addictive as it doesn’t increase dopamine in the nucleus accumbens. Thats what I read.

“atomoxetine increased prefrontal cortex catecholamine concentrations without altering dopamine levels in the striatum or nucleus accumbens

Cool side effect: loss of appetite/weight loss
