Dopamine course during lifetime

Dopamine increases in adulthood. Dopamine was originally low had negative symptoms up until I started getting sz symptoms. Negative symptoms improved 19y.o. but sz started. Diagnosed 21y.o. put on abilify for 8yrs, negative symptoms got worse. Dopamine fluctuates.

That explains a lot if not just your own theory.

I had negatives my whole life, then psychosis around 17 and suddenly became better at school.

Maybe thats why sz happens mostly 18-25y.o.

My negative symptoms only improve when i am psychotic, i was psychotic 3yrs before diagnosis but managed to work and go to university full time. I think it was my dopamine peak

Maybe its a coincindence dopamine incresed 18-21y.o. in my case, I guess it can happen at any age

My dr prescribed it to me but i didnt pick it up from pharmacy. I was scared it would give me addictions like abilify as they have same mechanism of action. Rexulti is an improved and newer version of abilify, its developed by same company as abilify

Its only been 2.5 months ive been on it. It is actually quite different from abilify, more like an atypical antipsychotic.

idk if this is true for me or opposite…its hard to tell when im in psychosis so im not sure but i think it could be sorta for me. i think it either gets better or worse. idk last time i was planning to flea (so maybe a bit of psychosis) i bought a used car which required speaking and leaving the house and stuff so maybe negs improved or the fear was enough to motivate me

When i was off meds psychotic for 2yrs i travelled to germany and lived on my own going to university studying german. I made study buddies there. Idk if they felt i had psychosis as i hide my symptoms well

I wasnt neurotypical, i think, but never had positives or negatives. I got in worse trouble after trauma and childbirth at 28. Then after meds. I had no negatives off meds. Now I have.

I do notice negatives are less when I’m psychotic. Not that that’s useful.

I think the course is different in women. Estrogen protects against psychosis, they say.
