I have so many random side hustles now that it is hard to keep track of. Right now I have two gardening clients, a puppy I do doggy daycare for a couple of days a week, selling my baked goods, other dogs I pet sit overnight, the part time job with my aunt, user testing on new websites, and today I spent 3 hours being a fake call centre agent to train AI.
It’s definitely not as lucrative as my prior life but I guess I’m keeping busy. I find doing a lot of small things easier to manage in terms of stress.
Anyone else have any money making schemes? I need to add more to the list!
Well done on keeping busy. I have too much spare time I’m not volunteering anymore so I’m trying to fill my day with other stuff. I like your plan of doing many little things…that is something that would agree with me and my brain!
Yes, I definitely don’t find it as overwhelming and it has meant I can build up what I do a little bit at a time to kind of test how I cope with it.
I’m trying to keep active with hobbies too. I’ve dug out a lot of weeds from my garden and have been planting a veggie patch, which is also a good way to save money on food!
I hope you can find some other hobbies and little things to try!
Yeah…I’ve been doing a lot of yardwork especially in the afternoons. I used to just relax on the computer in the arvos but trying to make myself more active for more of the day. I have some hobbies I’m into but find it hard to motivate myself to do them…I am trying though.
In Belgium when you’re on disability you need to ask for permission to do anything: a side hustle, a part-time job, volunteering, a study. There is next also follow up of how things are going. It can make it a drag to take initiative.
That doesn’t sound helpful at all. I’m not on disability and will never be eligible for it due to my partner’s income. It’s a bit sad that I will never be eligible but I guess I have more freedom to try new things.
