Does it? I keep worrying about this stuff
No, but I also don’t know what kind of area you live in our housing arrangement you have. The last part of town we lived in was bad for gas being stolen from vehicles and I had to get a locking gas cap. No one left anything portable and expensive outside as the meth heads would walk off with it and fence it for their next hit.
Your fears may or may not be valid. I can’t say.
I sometimes get paranoid and think people are going to steal from us but it usually causes me to buy extra canned food and bottled water and get padlocks for closets and lock stuff in there for emergencies - like right now we are living off my bottled water, canned food and extra batteries for flashlights because of the hurricane that just went through. So, sometimes paranoia can come in handy.
I’ve thought about this. I have some valuable items and cash in my house. My neighbors don’t know about any of it though. And I live in a hud housing complex so I don’t think people see much opportunity. Idk I’m not gonna let people I don’t know in my house. I also don’t want to show everybody my stuff.
The neighbourhood I live in has been fairly safe for the past decade or so since property prices have exponentially increased over the past 2x decades. I have lived at my current residence for about 3x decades and a bit and had my dual 10" boom box stolen from my very first vehicle in 1998. This event occurred before I was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Yes, but people have been stealing a lot of things, from my car and I used to never have that problem, under the same circumstances. When I’ve been homeless.
