My pet peeve about my sister. We’ll be in the middle of a text conversation or a conversation using messages on my MacBook and she’ll just suddenly stop texting! I might not hear from her until the next day. It’s especially frustrating when I’m asking her a question about something and need the answer but she’ll just stop. Or like tonight, we’re discussing whether I should come over to pick up some shoes. I say “Should I come over now?” and no answer for thirty minutes. She finally sends me a message back that doesn’t answer the question and I ask her to clarify. No answer. It’s 7:00 on a Sunday night and I don’t whether to go over there tonight or not.
I have no idea what reasons your sister might have for not answering, but I know that I get so many notifications on my phone, I often ignore them and review them all at a later date. Mine is mostly spam stuff.
I pay much more attention to facebook messenger and discord. Facebook messenger in particular because it has a unique sound on phone.
I have one freind who only communicates with me via text(or occassional phone call) and I miss them all the time thinking they are likely spam garbage.
You should ring her saves you getting frustrated
Talk? On a phone?
Ew.
ive experienced this with women and some friends, like talking back and forth and then a minute later no response until like the next day or sometimes days later, or not at all. if this happens to often i just stop messaging altogether as it gives the impression that they dont want to talk
My brother does that all the time. I just ignore it now. If you can’t get an answer, I would just assume it’s no, or don’t go over there.
Socially rude people, especially in the family, can really be frustrating. As long as my father was alive, mother never cared about keeping talk plans with me. Then, when he died, all of a sudden she was depending on me. We never got past codependent.
I have noticed a trend here, when its an important call where I call or there is incoming call.
There is a long silence and I feel anxious, and lose what I have say.
