Before using nicotine it often sounded like people were speaking another language and I had a hard time finishing a sentence always losing my thoughts. Then nicotine helped with that a ton. I figured if I quit i would retain some of my verbal skills and i think i do some. But after 3 days off nicotine i basically became mute again. I kept slipping away into my head like if i was teleporting to another reality again. I could tell my mom was getting annoyed to the point she was waving her hands in front of my face today. I pretty much became a mute again. So i’m back to smoking for now. I just wish nicotine wasn’t so bad for me physically tho. Does nicotine help you too?
i dont smoke but maybe the cognition enhancing effect (verbally) is due to nicotine it binds to nicotinic receptor in the brain there is some of Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor Agonists will have the same pro cognitive effect like smoking in my country there is varenicline if you need more information search pubmed on this drug and other drugs have the same mechanism as i mentioned above
It’s helps me not withdrawal and gives me something to do, I would like to stop
There are many forms of nicotine. You don’t have to smoke to reap its benefits. I use Nicorette 4 mg lozenges currently.

I wish i could do that but because nicotine replacement is usually so high in nicotine, it makes my heart skip beats. Like 1 cigarette absorbs to about 1mg of nicotine so i usually get about 20mg of nicotine a day but when i use zyn pouches for example, they are 3mg per pouch and i end up using 15 pouches a day so that comes out to 45mg of nicotine a day. Vaping does the same thing to me for some reason.
