I don’t mind it. I often get called ma’am in airports. And I just often reply to them saying “thank you, sir/ma’am”.

It bothers me highly.
It bothers me yes, i dare not approach yet even a request to be referred to as that.
Not to mention beholding myself from other angles you might say.
