I have been taking aps since 3 years… i rarely do diabetes testing …i am not diabetic by the way …

You should have your blood tested at least every 6 months if not sooner.
Diabetes is a big risk factor when taking Antipsychotics.

I shouldn’t think all sz sufferers will get diabetes. If they eat healthy and reduce sugar and refined carbohydrates and eat low GI foods and lots of fruits veggies nuts and seeds and a bit of fish/lean meat etc they should be fine. :slight_smile:

I’m already at a risk of diabetes. I’m overweight, diabetes runs in my family, and I have PCOS.
Plus, I keep forgetting to take my Metformin.

For me, it’s not a matter of ‘if’, it’s a matter of ‘when’.

Fun fact: in my native language, the name for diabetes translates to “sugar illness”
