Does clozapine help you at all? How?

I’m being put back on it after being months off it. My voices are really bad atm. Just wondering if it will help at a lower dose and how long does it take to work? I’m exhausted

it takes a while to start working. i’d say like you have to give it a month to get the levels in the blood right.

It works wonders for me… i’m doing good on it (i take 200mg clozapine a day and then risperdal consta 50mg shot every 2 weeks)

@lekkerhondje , the county mental health office I go to only allows more than one AP when weaning off one med and going on to another. I wonder why some drs are ok with it and others are not

@Windy , I’m not a candidate for clozapine. I’ve never tried it. But I hear it’s practically magic it works so well

ah yea i wondered that too… i’m glad the people at the psych ward were ok to put me on those 2 APs… i think otherwise i prob would still be struggling. or maybe the clozapine by itself would also help but i’m not gonna try to find that out as i’m doing okish right now.

I’m on clozapine it’s a very good drug
I have not had a sleepless night in 15 years

It doesn’t take the problems away but it makes them easier to cope with, be careful missing a dose at night or it could have unwanted affects

I take it ina low dose to help me sleep. Does wonders.
