I think we should be informed, but we also need to be wise to take care of our health. I read USAtoday because it helps me to know enough of what is going on but also isn’t too much for me.
I do not watch tv including the news.
I do not read newspapers.
I sometimes read headlines on yahoo.
I just can not take all the information in sometimes and not understand it and once when I watched the news on tv the presenter attacked me.
Not physically but still…
I am beginning to not like the news its not like it should be its so opinionated almost like a indoctrination. Don’t always think its worth watching. Do like to hear whats going on in my city
Wow people here dont watch the news. Wow.
I usually read the news instead of watch so I have control of what I learn. I don’t like politics because my father in law has very strong opinions about them and he upsets me with what he says.
Guess what folks its 11pm and I’m watching the news. I just get used to seeing negative stuff.
My mother does the same on the daily about politics here in Australia and in the USA, she loves to hate politicians. So much anger in it now says.
I think mainstream news is pretty toxic when you’re mentally ill, though I would encourage people to keep up with news from smaller sources since it’s very important to stay informed. I typically get my news from YouTube honestly haha, I find it’s much easier to digest and you can find plenty of entertaining personalities presenting it in a more interesting manner.
Right now i feel like the news broadcasts my fears and i get paranoid when it’s on, so no news for me. It’s mostly a good thing
I watch the news almost daily. I used to read the newspaper daily as well. I get sick of watching politics on the news. I also use an app called Flipboard to read news articles. It is pretty neat.
Watching the news can be bad for your mental health. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/why-we-worry/201206/the-psychological-effects-tv-news
I don’t really watch the news much. It’s all devastation and stupid politicians anyways.
I follow science news, space news, and uplifting news.

News trigger me. Sometimes anchomen and anchorwomen talk to me directly or about me in hints
I like to watch the news, I always like to see the goals from the weekend in Europe. I also like to see some finance news, I hope to live all by myself one day, so it helps understanding the market…
I also like to know technological news, like AI and more self sustained farming, etc…
I don’t watch the news all the time on tv. I tend to know what’s going on by just glancing the newspaper section when I’m at the supermarket.
So I shouldnt watch the news?
You should do what you think is best for you.
I never watch the news on the tv. I just get sick of news always being negative. I do read an online newspaper though but i think because it is something i can read and not watch, it feels less intense. The only good thing about watching the news is you keep up to date with local issues. But i find reading my online newspaper keeps me up to date.
Wtf , so nobody here watches the news. If you are vulnerable , you will stay vulnerable until you can integrate , compartmentalise whatever is going on in this world. Guess what, youtube and facebook is sorry trash…
I read two newspapers and get my news online. My friend actually suggested getting news off Twitter. That’s actually where a lot of news shows get their news – what’s trending on Twitter? So Twitter counts as a news source for me. It’s not the best one, but it’s often the first one with the big national news.
