Hi, recently the EU accepted this drug in a form of injections which you have to take only once in 3 months. Does or did anyone of You have any contact with this substance? I’m currently on injections which I take once in two weeks (Rispolept Consta) and it does make life a lot easier. However I’m still looking for something better

I am on it. It’s a life saver. Basically there’s Invega Sustenna, which is a monthly injection I take and can say it has way less side effects than Risperidone. In fact, the monthly injection is paliperione, which is pre-digested Risperidone; it bypasses the liver so causes less harm and overall Sustenna just feels like Risperidone but with way less side effects and the beauty of it is its steady state in the body. In short, one of the greatest treatment options out there for schiz.
What you are describing is called Invega Trinza where I live. It’s the same drug as Sustenna, but it works for three months at a time rather than one. That’s merely four needles a year! And often it’s effective enough to work as the single anti-psychotic needed, where Seroquel and Abilify were two pills to worry about. For me anyway, the injection is all I need now. I cried happy tears after my second shot, as my nightmare started to fade and still does.

Thank you so much it really gives me new hope! I’m really looking forward for this drug, it should be available within a year in my country. Just can’t wait, and so does my liver thank you once more!
