Does anyone take Clozapine? I take 250 mg/day. I also take setraline 50 mg / day. What dosage do you take? Do you take any suplements with it like antidepressant or something?

I have been taking clozapine for a few years now, I heave had good results with it, it has kept me out of the hospital. I take a similar dose to yours.The side effects are mild compared to the other drugs.
I take 250 mg as well. It has worked well for me. I have to get my blood drawn periodically though.

I used to take 300 mg of clozaril and it was really bad side-affects. I gained about 30 pounds in a month and slept 20 hours a day.
Just goes to show how everyone reacts differently to medication. It was the worst side-affects of any med for me!!! Although it was really effective and I needed it at the time to heal my brain from the worst psychotic episode I ever had.
If I ever wanted to sleep for a day or 2, I know I could go grab some clozaril (actually I don’t know where to get it?) but yeah if it was OTC, it would put me to sleep for a day or 2 if I had no tolerance and took like 100+ mg.
I could have slept more than 20 hours per day but I was in a treatment center at the time and they made me wake up. Finally I had enough and refused to take it.
I’m probably starting Clozaril soon since my current meds aren’t working as well as they should be. But I’m scared to death of it because of all the side effects, low white blood cells means you could die from a cold! And myocarditis! Scary stuff.

Nurses don’t know ■■■■. I talked to my nurse a few days ago about my prolactin levels being too high and she didn’t even know what prolactin was!
Its good you are on a low dose, it could give you metabolic syndrome which puts you at higher risk for heart attack or stroke later in life.
