Has a long acting depot? Like, not the ones you get when they’re trying to calm someone down in hospital. Is there a monthly Haldol injection? If so, what’s it called?

I’m quite sure I used to get Haldol injections years ago. Better check it out, though, because my memory sometimes fails me.

The advantage of the shot is that random doses are less likely to get missed.

I get the haldol shot every two weeks. It works better than pills and it’s much more convenient

Of course not. But the shots are so much more effective than the pills. And less side effects too. But for me they’re not convenient because I have to go into the clinic for them twice a month, so, very inconvenient.

I like to test the waters by skipping doses so I prefer the freedom of pills.

You can but with Risperdal Consta anyway, it hurts like hell. Hurts way less in the behind.

I used to get Invega in the arm. It didn’t bother me except for one time when my arm swelled up. But usually it was painless

You get use to the injections only downside is you have to go to Dr every month for them to give you the injection my Mom gives me the injections so I don’t have to go otherwise they would charge me 35 dollars

You can get haldol I’m the arm or hip. It has fewer side effects than the pills, but only comes in 100 mg/ml and I think 400 mg/ml, so not much option for dosages. I had to take the 100 every 3 weeks and still needed 40 mg of pills daily.

Wow. @LED, that sounds awful. I don’t mind going in for the injection but needing that much on top of the injection sounds awful. I’m on 10 mg and I am really struggling with fatigue

Yes, decanoate. 3ml or 1ml etc.
It’s good and cheap
