I want to get one of those routers you can put the sim card in. They are like 699 on amazon but im imagining or lets you take your snap cell phone card out and use it as a network router
Mostly i wanna know can you use your cell phone sim card to network your house?
@PikaTchu What are you trying to accomplish by having such a router?
If you can get landline connections then that may be a better choice.
I live out in the country and have a Netgear MR 1100, and it works well for my home internet. I can share what I have learned about the process if you want to know more.
If you have a smart phone with a internet access plan you could use that as well as a wifi hotspot with internet access. Some mobile plans come with less âshared hotspot dataâ as a limitation to your overall plan when you connect to outside devices. Say you have 25 GB of overall data, but only 5 GB of shared hotspot data, so when you use any of your data outside of the main cellular device it will be limited to just that 5 GB of the main 25 GBs that you can use on the plan overall for the main device.
You can use a application like âPDA net+â to circumvent the data restriction in these sort of plans, but it may require you to use a cable instead of using wifi to connect the other devices to your internet connection.
If you want to use your connection for peer to peer connections, such as online multiplayer games, then you would have to plan the connection for that. For example I found that At&T will block the peer to peer connections on mobile plans through their own means, resulting in a NAT type D, which will stop those connections in online games.
