Does anyone here have photography as a hobby?

Photography seems like a fun hobby.

I’m thinking of saving up some money so I can buy a camera, used of course.

I just don’t know what kind of camera I should go for? Does anyone here know anything about photography and cameras?

Any advice? I would appreciate it.

I think you need better lighting! The pic looks grainy.

That was the point. Photography i think it’s not just about good quality pictures.

Good hq pictures have they’re own place.

For me it’s about experimenting and doing fun stuff

That’s a good idea. You have some sense of beauty :+1:

If you don’t know how serious you are about photography.

First do some cool stuff with your phone, something you like not what is fashionable these days.

Then buy a camera when your phone seems not enough

Yeah I need to save up some money first. Then buy a camera, so I’m stuck with my phone.

Just check to see how many times the reflex (mirror) assembly has been cycled before you buy. It has a finite number of shots that can be taken before it wears out and needs replacing (always more expensive than the value of the body).

The best camera is one that inspires you to use it and that you are willing to carry with you a lot. I do a lot of my photography with my phone these days because it’s the camera I have with me. Cell phone cameras are good enough now to do serious fine-art work with, so that’s okay. Here’s something I wrote about cell phone photography last year:
