I know i am getting an ebike tomorrow but i thought i’d have a look at the car market place to see if they have updated their range of cars and it looks like they have, for a small payment i can get a plug in hybrid and its should be cheaper than what i pay just now, the car says it does 217mpg which is a lot more than the 50mpg i get right now so I’m thinking i can quadruple my range for the same price which means it would only cost me about £300-£400 on fuel a year instead of the £1200 i pay atm, it should also be even more cheaper than that if i am using my ebike as well, was thinking about puting a bike rack on the back to hold the bike as well but not sure about doing that.
So i was chatting to my Mum today and it was agreed that she would look at the car i am looking at to see if its suitable for her, it needs space for a dog in the front passenger footwell and a decent height to get in and out, if it needed any modifications we can ask for that as well such as handles to help her get in and out.
it looks like a great we car but I’m not going to get excited just yet, i looked at some reviews for it and i believe its a mix of people who don’t charge them and people who do and get better fuel consumption (cheaper). i think the less fuel it uses the better.
Hybrid has two separate power systems and that complicates maintenance. I have a deposit down on a VW id.buzz, but I won’t get it until next fall at the soonest. Long wait.
That looks nice, i had a look at a youtube review about it idk if I’d have one,
I prefer the extra stuff, it might mean more to go wrong but its all covered under the scheme my Mum is part of, I like how with the car I’m interested in i can choose between petrol or electric or both.
My daughter has a Honda hybrid. She loves it but has virtually no miles on the thing because she just walks everywhere (good for her!!!). I wanted the hybrid CRV, but after hearing horror stories from both of my sisters, we opted to get a regular ol’ Nissan. Now I miss having an SUV, though!!!
Our Disability benefits come in 2 parts with 2 tiers each,
My Mum has the highest tier for mobility bc of her deaf/blind status so she qualifies for the full amount of Motability Rate, its what she needs to get around bc of her poor mobility and it all goes toward paying the Motability scheme for the car,
We wrangle a deal between us to keep it fair but she is top trumps when it comes to the car, there are rules about it that i need to follow as well. and they don’t just give you cars willy nilly, its extremely hard to get a car like that.
I don’t have a driver’s license so don’t particularly care. Wouldn’t want to borrow his car anyway
What if I crashed it or something I would feel horrible
