Does anyone do a daily log or journal?

Does anyone do a daily log or check in, or a daily journal on how they are doing and their symptoms?

If so has it helped you?

I do, on my phone. It is helping, because the app gives insights and feedback about trends. And it graphs everything.

I use a daily journal to log in my moods, how I’m doing for the day.
It helps a bit.

Very cool. What app are you using if you dont mind sharing?

I used to do it. I stopped after my mom read it and punished me for what was in it.

Then I started one again but the men read it and used it to follow me around, so I stopped again.

But, alas, they’re still following me without it.

I have a journal folder on my computer as well as my phone and l used to have physical books as well. Weird thing though l only write when l have a episode. You can laugh at yourself later when you read some of it and goes like "Who the F wrote this?"

No longer every day, but several times a week. Yes, very helpful.

I don’t write anything down but I’ll verbally log how I’ve been to myself or think about it. Just so I have the awareness and insight on where I’m at

I used to keep a journal when i only had issues with depression. It did help a lot. Whatever i wrote in it, i would soon forget. It was a place where i could dump my negativity, and move on. I currently only keep a log of my weight loss. I don’t keep a diary for Schizophrenia. Can’t be bothered.

I use this app to keep a gratitude journal on my Android. I like it and usually just write short phrases. I like that it has some nice quotes in it and no ads. I find it almost impossible to write in it when I am physically ill but other days its great to celebrate small and not so small things.

I started keeping my paper notebooks in 1999 in America. I stopped in spring (2021), so I wrote nearly 22 years. Now I am not keeping any notebooks.

When I was unwell I did keep a journal and it helped me give up drinking and other consumables. It also helped me notice patterns of highs and lows in my mood, similar to cyclothymia. Now I don’t journal much, because I have fewer symptoms. I found my old diary from my early teens and it was full of girls i fancied, and worrying about life, but now I barely remember any of it.
