My antipsychotic meds help my depression. Without them I’m worse

It could. It could also be the illness. Or maybe you realize that the life you are leading is not what you want it to be and this is causing you depression.

You could always try Rexulti instead of your anti-psychotic. It’s supposed to help with depression too. I take it and I find it to be very helpful. You could ask your pdoc about it and see what they think.

Yes, meds made me very depressed. Im afraid this will last when im off.

Meds make me emotionally flat. It’s not a good feeling, but it isn’t exactly being depressed. I usually walk minimum 30 minutes each day and take vitamin D which helps relieve symptoms of the flatness/depression…

I used to be on risperidone and I’m 99% sure it amplified my depression so I switched to Geodon and am doing much better now.

amuilspride relaxes me but depressem at the same time.

I was depressed on Haldol. I was depressed after my last psychosis, but I dont think it was the zyprexa. I think it was post psychotic depression. I havent been depressed for a long time. But anxious and worrysome I am.

Yes in a way. I believe I am more impulsive and less motivated on antipsychotics so that gets me down but because they keep me sane they free me from delusions which makes me happy

Risperidone and Invega can make you feel bad and depressed.

Funny but I’m feeling a bit more depressed since lowering the Risperdal.
Maybe it’s withdrawals but I heard that Risperdal has some antidepressant properties.

Anti Psychotic meds have many names, one of the names is major tranqulizers

That was the name for the first typicals, but since then they have made many that are not very sedative.
