Do you worry about your house heatings bills?

I live in a group home so I don’t

My mum and bro pays, but I’ll be moving out soon so yes. I heard its going up too.

Last month our electric bill quadrupled.

So yes, now I worry about it.

The power company gave us some ■■■■■■■■ excuse for why costs have gone up.

If you’re listening PG&E, ■■■■ you!

You burn our state down and now you want more money?

Why?

Because you’re getting sued for doing dumb ■■■■ all the time.

I hate our electric company and wish I had options.

my electric bill also just jumped this month and we cant figure out the reason

Also we worry about the heating bill cause the cost of oil has gone crazy almost $500 for 100 gallons

we cant afford it and i make literally $15 over the limit for help from the community action assistance

What gets me is that most my electric bill isn’t for electricity, but various charges to get it to me. We’re as energy efficient as possible yet the bill keeps climbing.

Im currently on a fixed rate tariff here in the uk till may 2023 , so i havent felt the price increase over here yet on the energy bill. Tho its still usually about £500 quarterly.

About 6 weeks before the bills due - i tend to bung a couple hundred on the account, so its not so much of a shocker.

Dont forget in the uk - you can still get the warm home discount of £140 from october every year if your claiming benefits.

We are finally hitting inflation over here after years where there’s not. Most folks are already feeling the pain of higher rents/property costs and now it’s fuel and common things at the grocery…

We don’t have heating bills that worry us up here but cooling is cruel. So much more costly and not energy efficiant but still. We all pay the price even in a group home eventually!

Yes - needed federal assistance last year during summer.

I will be tinting some windows to block heat 70 percent.

Theoretically saving 30% off my electric bill.

Heating isn’t so bad in the south and we use natural gas but cooling is electric and expensive.
