I was reading an article that said 70%-90% of people with schizophrenia don’t work.
I was wondering if you work? I put the answers as yes and no.

I voted yes. I work four days a week from 9am-5pm with a one hour break.
Yes i have i am not currently but ill pick up something soon. I work great i work hard i went to work 3 days aftwr a very serious mental breakdown suicide attempt i e worked out of my mind insane hard and efficient. Im burnt out now but ill still work i got it i can do it. You dont work tou dont eat yoy starve to death. Of course i work
I am on disability but I help my wife fill her vending machines and shop at Sams, Walmart and Target to get stuff to put in them. I don’t really think we make any money because we are always buying more stuff but it gives me something to do every day.
I got fired from my last real job in December. It was a really good job. Really wish I didn’t get fired.
i can’t go to work as i am afraid outside by myself and can’t take the bus and stuff… going outside is impossible for me. And also the stress from work makes me relapse. So no work here.
I’m going to start working again September 1st. It’s 19 hours a week for the Tax office. I believe I can do it, but time will tell.
I’ve been broken a long time but I still manage to be employed.
If I could work I’d be happy but I’ve not been able to hold down a job for a good twenty years
No. I start volunteering again this week. And I’m looking for a job, but I think that’s still too much. Even if I’m non-delusional, my mind always keeps me so busy with feelings and thoughts, that working is tough.
I don’t work in the traditional sense. I was given a couple of art grants but I can’t work on the project anymore due to my relapse. After its gone I will be on disability.
I work as a call temp. Maybe 20-30% average per month. I have a application in for partial disability. I’m hoping I can work 50%, but I don’t know. Possibly 30% is more realistic. Depends what comes next.
I just quit my job of 2 months due to the stress causing my symptoms to flare up. I didn’t really wanna quit, but now that I did, I’m relieved. I’m not sure if I’m cut out to work anymore – it has to be the perfect job
I voted no. I quit my last job in 2020. I worked at that office job for a year. I was on 80mg Latuda when I was able to work, though I had a bit of positive symptoms and akathisia. My Dr prescribed me Wellbutrin, after taking it I couldn’t work anymore for some reason even after stopping it. Anyways now on 5mg risperidone I can’t work but I don’t have any positive symptoms, akathisia, nausea or insomnia anymore.
I will be working soon. Not sure if I will be able to keep it going, but I will try nonetheless
I voted yes, but I really only work about a day a week at the moment (I’m rostered for three days a week). My employer is above and beyond patient with me.
I get akathesia in the mornings some mornings, and when I do I don’t go to work that day.
Yes unfortunately
