When I was a teenager, teachers in China teach the students about the Darwin’s evolution is correct absolutely. When I grew up, I changed my views on evolution. I think that evolution just a type of direction but not correct absolutely.
Do animals have schizophrenia? or the schizophrenia is only for the mankind?
I feel brain was meant to be only used for filling up our hunger.
But later there was thirst for knowledge and life became challenging.
I feel animal don’t have it, unless the above becomes true for them as well.
Maybe, you are right. I think your opinions about the knowledge come from the Holy book, Bible.

Evolution is a scientific theory.
It’s in the same realms as gravity.
You soon learn about gravity when you try to jump on this planet. Evolution happens over time and it’s not something you’ll see first hand.
That is evolution.

Evolution just tell us a direction and a vague vision of nature. It is right as gravity is. But they are not perfect.

I once read that people with higher IQ’s tend to have fewer children. If that’s true Darwin’s theory is in file #13.
He’s using the word theory in its academic sense.

In NYC rats have evolved to seek out savory foods. This happened because rat poison is usually sweetened. All the rats who craved sugar slowly died off, and rats who craved savory foods survived. This is one way we have seen evolution in our time.

I think evolution is a farce, if we evolved from monkey’s why are there still monkey’s? I can’t believe that everything happens by chance and that we have no purpose of life.

I know, he himself called it a “scientific theory”. I guess my own statement on rogue’s comment ambiguity was itself ambiguous. I don’t believe rogue is saying that “evolution is just a theory”, let alone “just a scientific theory”. My point is about evolucion being a widely accepted fact that has spawned a host of theories even within Darwin’s own writings. Some of these theories, such as lamarkism, as you know, have been completely discredited. This is no biggie, I was just concerned someone might be getting the wrong message on something so important.

Even if most things happen by chance (maybe they do, maybe they don’t), it doesn’t mean we have no purpose. Every human who has lived before now has contributed in some way to the world we live in today. That is purpose. The first farmer in existence probably had no idea that we would still be using his idea today. Unknown peasants who survived the black plague because of a genetic mutation have passed along those genes and we are now using them to create a vaccine for HIV. People have been making discoveries for thousands of years, and we keep building on them to make the world more suited to our needs.
Even us, now, on this website. We give hope and a sense of community to people who would otherwise feel very isolated and alone. I can’t tell you how lost and hopeless I felt when I first stumbled on this site. I never thought I could become a parent until I met others like me who were also doing it. Now I am a foster parent. All the kids I have given a home to, that is partly because I have you all as a source of support. There isn’t a person alive with no purpose.

I think just by observation we can see that evolution exists, you can see all the species and there current for in their evolution. But is evolution responsible for consciousness and our behavior. I dont think evolution can explain why people do what they do. There is more to life then life itself…

If evolution is real why are there not half humans half animals, you know like the inbetween bit of evolution.
