Do you like evolution theory?

Taken from an article which discusses the impact of sz in evolution:

“In modern environments, schizophrenia is associated with significantly diminished fertility, mediated by reduced survival, reduced attractiveness for mating, and lower marriage rates, as well as possibly via reduced fertility once married.”

How much do you believe into evolutionism? I remember that when I was a young adult this was my creed, but I slowly started to 1. don´t care at all 2.believe that evolution is not a perfect theory to explain humanity.

This is dangerously close to a talk about religion. I like the theory but i still have a lot of questions.

No need to go into religion territory. You can be religious or not, and believe in evolutionism a lot or not.

I just want to talk about the meaning of evolution in sz, and, especially, if evolution is a good scale for it nowadays…

Truth from facts. Archaeological findings from stone age burial sites in China prove that the “Theory of Evolution” is valid.

Sounds pretty archaic, incorrect, and rather dehumanizing, to be honest.

Slippery slope to eugenics, IMO.

A creatures biggest responsibility is to procreate but our species has become so successful I didn’t need to have children. My sister had a child. Hopefully he’ll procreate, we have good genes despite the sz gene.

Sure I like the theory but honestly I feel that life is a mystery so I do not waste time searching for the hard questions and answers.

Maybe from a biological standpoint, but it seems like a pretty limited view of humanity’s purpose when you stop and think about all the good people have done, and can continue to do.

The passing on of genes is definitely important to the survival of mankind, but I dunno… I think people should strive for a bigger end goal than that.
