How do you overcome negative thinking
Negative thoughts often slip into my mind. I do my best to convert them into positive affirmations. Sometimes I allow myself to be upset in the negative thoughts though, it’s kind of human n necessary sometimes.
I used to have 24/7 negative thoughts when I had a brain injury that made my head hurt like 7.5 out of 10, for 3 solid years. I started drinking a gallon of 9.5 pH ionized water a day, and a month later, my head pain is now a 1 to 3 out of 10, and my intrusive thoughts are way, way less. I can enjoy life more now.

I think sometimes positive thinking is not real tinking i think it is fake not true thinking
Negative thinking may make me sick without voices or hallucination or anything
I knew this was going to be a bad thread.
I dont have the stamina/mental energy to think positively or negatively. I just dont have the luxury of picking an attitude. I try to tollerate the here and now, and however my mind does that i am a slave to, indifferent. I’m a lot more cheery than i am sullen, naturally
Yes I do. Out of habit. Not because I really think that way.
yeah i think negatively because i’m depressed and that is part of it. i try sometimes to be positive but feel i over compensate like saynow said it feels fake but i do notice when i get engrossed in a movie i feel more positive or even if i get some small task accomplished i feel more positive. sometimes a coffee will lift my mood a bit but too much then i get jittery.
I can be very negative to the point I cant stand my own thoughts.
I have to catch myself and then try to switch to another subject to try to leave the negative behind. Avoiding negative subjects can also help.
