Do you think LSD can cause schizophrenia like symptoms long after use?

I feel the same way you do Bowens but with ecstasy all I know is I did it and became schizophrenic a few months later

Lot’s of LSD done in the 60’s and there wasn’t a spike in the 1% so I’d say on evidence no.

Yes. Acid is a weird drug. It’s kinda like a catalyst that seems to leave body quickly but you can use strobe lights years later and induce similar symptoms so there’s some weird quirks to it’s affect on the brain like I’d say most hallucinagenics.

Still. I don’t think it’s a causal agent unless you’ve that disposition. Whether you tripped or not you were probably destined for sz.

I think it’s what kick started my prodome, had apathy, anhedonia, and photophobia 2 weeks after dosing lsd. And that photophobia has stayed till this day.

The only reason schizophrenics use drugs is because they unstimulated.

Bowens are you feeling guilty for the past again to answer your original question yes and some ways it probably does but it would have to do with micro episodes of hallucinations we all like to refer to as flashbacks mostly because memory stores worthless data not schizophrenia trauma induced memory is nothing compared to mind-altering psychosis keep this in mind

I don’t think we can rule it out, but I think that from what we know of sz and drugs it is very unlikely.

Im not gonna comment - as far as to say, i did a shed load of LSD in my twentys, and i can honestly reckon it had no bearing on my condition whatsoever.

Environmental Factors gave me Sz. Neglect, dysfunctional relationships, and alcohol abuse i reckon flicked the switch in my brain.

In my case hallucinogenics worsened, but not triggered my schizotypi. I would still be schizotypic even i had not taken mushrooms, but i honestly think i would have had it in a far milder version… Schizos should not take things like lsd, but i was young and immature when i took the shrooms and didn’t know anything about mental illness.
