I take Risperdal, it makes me feel numb and tired at higher doses. I’m switching to Abilify, which hopefully won’t make me feel as foggy.

I take Haldol, and no, it does not make me sleepy, even at a whopping 80mg/day. I get tremors at high doses, but it does not sedate me. :smiley:

When I was on haldol I was totally demoralized. I had no energy. I’m so glad I’m off it.

I don’t know if it’s due to meds only, or schizophrenia itself, I feel like a robot when walking. Do you feel something like that?

I take risperdal before bed. It helps me to sleep as well

I’m on risperdal consta . Sleepiness isn’t an issue.

Risperidone - Only feel sleepy after taking it so fine during the day mostly. But if they up the dose in hospital etc I can sleep a lot more.

When I took Haldol many years ago I felt a lot of sleep during all day.

i did a lot. coffee helped me feel normal though might need a few cups but it works

i’m just tapering off haldol injections as the high doses made me feel like a zombie. i’m on 50mgs a month right now and it feels like i’m just starting to wake up from inactivity since starting it. i will never take haldol again after this month, that’s for sure. xxx

I am on 2.5 mg of Risperdal - I take a couple of short naps a day - it does tire me out a bit

I drink to much caffeine to tell. I’m on Resperidone though.
