I smoke and I can’t quit, no matter how often I try to quit. Without the cigarettes it would be really unpleasant.

I do not smoke. I’ve tried it just to see what all the fuss was about but didn’t really find it that nice. I absolutely hate smoking. How it feels in your lungs and down your throat. It is something i can never take up.

articles posted many times on this site, may or may not be true.

I smoke a lot of cigarettes. They are expensive so most of my weekly money goes on it. I smoke as many as I can get my hands on. 20-30 a day sometimes.

I smoke a lot. Wouldn’t be without it

Likewise. I smoke like a train.

If your panhandling to get your fix then it’s a problem. It’s an insidious drug. More people statistically give up opiates than they do cigarettes. I can say this because I was a slave to nictotine for years of my life and it’s now over a decade off a pack a day habit…

Yeah it works with sz and the meds and symptoms but it’s still a poison that is slowly killing you. Just saying.

You are most certainly right about that. I have a bad addiction. I did quit for 32 days a couple of years ago. That one didn’t last long lol. I enjoy smoking probably more than anything else. I know how bad it is for me and I know I stink but I just can’t kerb the habit.

I too was a hopeless addict. It got too expensive here and I had choices how to spend my money. I took the non nicotine route…When your on a pension and you want to live a good life I had to make a choice…that was without nicotine and with Chantix it was a painless process.

I smoked for about a year and a half in the army. I would usually smoke about five cigarettes a day, though sometimes, particularly when I was drinking, I would be really burning up the ■■■■. I am so glad I was able to quit. When I see all the respitory problems the smokers have where I live I am ecstatic that I don’t smoke. Also, when I see what people have to spend to support their smoking habit I am so glad I don’t smoke. When I see what they’re spending on smokes I feel like I got an extra $65.00 stipend in my weekly paycheck.

I made a mistake. I should have said “a $65.00 stipend in my monthly paycheck”.

Get you. I am on a benefit from the government. I live in a mental health residential house. I get $100 for spending and $60 for food. I spend all of the $100 on smoking and panhandle around the shops when I am out of ciggies. Ciggies cost $30 for a packet of 20 here. Most of the girls who live with me smoke and we help each other out when we can.

I smoke more when I’m psychotic. A lot of the voices and delusions revolve around that as well.

I used to smoke… a lot. Nearly two years ago I quit for good. I had the help of a antidepressant called Voxra (bupropion) that helped me a lot with quitting. I still take Voxra, as it has also helped me with adhd. Voxra pretty much made me not want to smoke. Of course I had to be very very motivated and WANT to quit and do whatever I can to quit. I have saved so so much money now and I feel so much better. So if you are struggling with smoking, I suggest trying this mefication.

I used to smoke a lot too but finally quit 7 months ago, I didn’t know Voxra could help with that, I have been taking Voxra for 3 years, maybe thats why it was easier to quit than I thought it would be?

The first time I tried Voxra I reduced smoking significantly. I just didn’t feel like smoking. Then I stopped taking it and started to smoke a lot again… and two years ago I started again taking Voxra and quit smoking cold turkey. I haven’t had a single cigarette since. I don’t even miss it anymore
