I read no books, I like to listen to music, all kinds of music, from classical to folk etc. music and I like to look at pictures, in the old life I read many books and left these behind, mathematical books such as some cryptography and other books like that, once I got some materials from the CIA and I left these also behind, those who got them might have been surprised, I have my eye problems and problems with concentration and so I read no books, not even long postings here on the forum.

Until i was about twenty i had ready thousands of books, often one to two a week. Now after psychosis i find it difficult to read even short books. And its bad because i am supposed to be reading a very short book of essays for my job and its been weeks ive been trying this is one of the cruelest japes the universe could play on me, destroying my ability to do my very favorite thing
I used to read a lot, some days I would spend over 12 hours reading medical and psychopharmacology books. Then I got on the internet and started taking chlorpromazine last year, and now I hardly ever read books anymore, I just lay in bed and watch “girl fail” videos on YouTube.
I like to watch also a lot of videos (DVD), last year I watched over 110 DVD videos, I have now 30 DVD videos I need to watch, but I do not like to watch these in summer, so I watch these next winter.
I used to read a lot too. I read a bit now but progress is slow with the concentration problems from the meds or illness. Mostly these days I read fantasy or history books
never could read fiction. I do like reading on the net in short spurts like the posts on facebook or sz.com
I listen to audiobooks.
I am a poor and slow reader compared to many others who are so quick and swallow books but am grateful that I can read in both Swedish and English.
Most books I can not read.
I read the page over and over and nothing goes in.
My boyfriend gave me a book to read about some police and crime but I did not feel I could continue reading it.
I have not read many books nor felt there are many books I can read.
I can not read Deepak Chopras other books , only two that I managed to read.
The books I enjoy and can read seem to be historical novels and I can read short romance books but prefer historical ones.
I enjoyed some my favourite authors I ha e read but will not write there names right now.
Since I hit 50 years old, my up close vision is so bad I can no longer read. I’ve never worn glasses before, never had my eyes checked either, it’s so different not being able to read.
hey,
Before diagnosis I’d read 4-5 books a week. That was till I was 29.
After that I never read much but poetry…I could only handle that to read…it really was frustrating.
Nowadadys I drew a line in the sand and just force myself to to it. First challenge was Game of Thrones the books series. I find it also hard to sit through movies so watching that series in bits and reading in bits got me back on the bike so to speak!
Seriously. Read. It makes your life richer and it’s a worthwhile thing for your mind! I try really hard but with some work it’s me reading more and enjoying it again!
A friend in the struggle,
rogueone.

Not anymore really but I plan to start watching documentaries.
I do not like to lay down and watch TV or snuggle with a book.
