At first I thought I was doing this cos of my medicine but I would do it when I came off them even more. My partner says it’s very disconcerting
It may be withdrawal symptoms that’s making you pace.
No. I pace a lot even on meds.
Oh ok didn’t you say you had autism? I pace a lot and have it.
Just a hallmark symptom of the illness.
I dont pace but im constantly tapping my leg or rubbing my feet together. Literally all the time. I dont stop. Im laying down a lot in my room and my feet just rub rub rub.
It could also be related to positive symptoms idk
OMG @FreeLunch im lucky to get 2000 steps a day!! Leg tapping doesnt make my counter go up, lmao
Yeah I pace when I’m feeling revved up and anxious or when I’m feeling overwhelmed
When I was going through Ativan withdrawal, I would pace around for hours and hours.
I was in a big hospital and pacing around the edges of the grounds against the walls was my main activity for several months.
I pace a lot on the typical antipsychotics. I hate the typicals, especially Haldol. They use Haldol to torture mental patients in Russia.
No.
And when I had akathisia, also no.
What helped my akathisia was taking bus journeys.
Sitting by the window and being aware that I’m moving.
At that point I was too weak to do much walking, thanks 15mg aripiprazole.
Sorry to hear. I get that a lot too, it must be that they feel un-easy when we do that. I think it could be a mix and a form of habit you formed of doing it.
I used to pace all the time but not anymore. Not sure what changed…
During manic episodes I pace a lot. Now I am in neutral mode so slowed down considerably.
my dad has to relax me sometimes by saying go sit in the sofa and relax and breath… stop pacing for a bit. I pace a lot.
I used too, not anymore
