Do you pace a lot?

At first I thought I was doing this cos of my medicine but I would do it when I came off them even more. My partner says it’s very disconcerting

It may be withdrawal symptoms that’s making you pace.

When I was going through Ativan withdrawal, I would pace around for hours and hours.

I was in a big hospital and pacing around the edges of the grounds against the walls was my main activity for several months.

I pace a lot on the typical antipsychotics. I hate the typicals, especially Haldol. They use Haldol to torture mental patients in Russia.

No.

And when I had akathisia, also no.

What helped my akathisia was taking bus journeys.

Sitting by the window and being aware that I’m moving.

At that point I was too weak to do much walking, thanks 15mg aripiprazole.

Sorry to hear. I get that a lot too, it must be that they feel un-easy when we do that. I think it could be a mix and a form of habit you formed of doing it.

During manic episodes I pace a lot. Now I am in neutral mode so slowed down considerably.
