I’ve never had proper sushi (I live in the Midwest), so it’s hard for me to tell
Only sushi we occasionally get is from the grocery store, and it’s like spicy shrimp tempura lol it’s not real sushi
I’ve only had freshly made sushi once in my life and it was so much better than store bought stuff (even places like Itsu) - it was so god damn good. While I still buy premade sushi sometimes it is not in the same league.
I don’t know about a favourite but my weird sushi quirk is that I don’t really like it with soy sauce. I know that is how it is meant to be eaten but I like how clean it tastes without the soy sauce.
