How well do you keep up the tidiness of your home?

I was sitting here, looking at the mess in which I live, and it is awful. I am unable to motivate myself to take care of the problem, though, it is so overwhelming. You can call it negative symptoms or laziness, but whatever you call it, this place is a mess.
My place is often untidy, not so much dirty. It is a constant battle keeping it clean

I cannot keep the kitchen clean no matter what I do, I even tried cleaning 1 dish an hour lol Everything else is good enough that I can clean it in a few minutes if someone comes over

No one ever comes over my apt, maybe that’s partly why I can’t motivate myself to pick up around here. For me, it’s mostly papers strewn about, papers and stacks of unopened mail that I couldn’t be troubled to look through.

I used to be really good at taking care of my chores. Mainly because I was motivated by the fact that if I did not, my Dad would beat my ass and tell me I need to do it. So I found peace in that I did not get my ass beat when I did chores and felt that I was needed. That kind of changed when my step mom showed up and yelled at me even if I did things right. Talk about demotivational 
Hazel would be proud of me.
Since I’ve lived here my place looks between lived in and very tidy. The only thing that has much clutter is the table my laptop is on.
At my last place I would have said it’s a total mess.
The difference is I have my stepdaughter keeping things straight.
cant the term lived-in still mean tidy to some degree?
I prabably got way too many things that should be put in a yardsale/donation box. At the same time, there is no dirt, dust, dirty dishes or such.
I just like it slightly cluttered, but not full blown.
Is there a word for this?
I love tidiness, and keep my home tidy but still lived in. An untidy home makes my mind go crazy. Cleaning is a problem though. Struggle with cleaning.

I am super tidy and clean.
I worry sometimes if i leave a dish in the sink at night. A clean environment is super important.
You should also take care of your body and skin, hair and toes. Some men don’t but it is very important.

A man’s feet must be rugged. Nuff said.
@mermaid1, pedicures are for females. I don’t like people touching my feet, anyway.
