Hubby and I both want cremation. And a plot to visit. But no gathering at the funeral home. Just a gathering of family and close friends at a house.

We want to celebrate the life of who died, not mourne their death. No viewings of the body; we think that’s disturbing.

We haven’t set money aside for this, specifically, but we probably should.

I bought a pre-paid cremation plan for £1600 literally 7 months ago. Theres literally no service or flowers. Your just picked up, and ashes delivered to the relative - in my case my brother.

I always swore blind i would let the council bury me - but i wanted at least one small step up from a paupers funeral lol.

I haven’t even grown a full scalp of white hair let alone being able to contemplate my own funeral. But if I were to become deceased, my immediate & extended family members would probably make those funeral arrangements for me.
