Do you have people to talk to when you need?

I have very few people that I can talk to and I cannot talk often to them. Also, have very few topics to talk upon. However, I would like to talk more and have more knowledge and opinion about different things. How is your situation?

Im in a similar boat. I have my partner whom i talk with about everything. But shes been pretty much the only one for a while. Im not very close to my old friends anymore so its pretty surface level with them. I need to get a better social life. Which can be difficult when you have social anxiety and avoid everyone a lot. I dont really ever talk to family either.

I prefer to visit online over visiting in person, but I do talk to people. When I talk in person I am having to rely more on reading lips now as my tinnitus is extremely bad these days. I am able to hold my own in a conversation when needed.

I have one person that I can talk with, he’s pretty open to what I say.

This is very relatable. I have one person I can truly talk to. My therapist. The rest of the people in my life I either love too much to worry them with my problems or I don’t know them well enough to share.

That said I do have a lot of friends, just no one to talk to about my mental health issues. Kinda makes it more lonely. Oh well.

My therapist hasn’t called me for our last 4 appointments.

My dad is retired and mostly stays home so we talk. My mom work full time so we talk after 5pm. My brothers too after 5pm as they work full time too but they’re often outside with their friends then.

I live on my own, i dont tbh. Aside from maybe two friends on the forum, i dont really talk to anyone.

At times of need, i do feel a little lost. But ever since ive been put on fluoxetine, im doing really well!

I might be able to talk with family via text. This forum is almost the only interaction I get most days.

I talk to my mom on the phone just about every day. She brings out the best in me.

I relate as well. With my illness I’ve only had my husband to share, recently the stress of my illness has caused resentment and division between us. Now i literally have no one to share with besides my doctor. That’s why i am trying these support groups… high hopes
