Do you have any phobias

I have this bear-phobia. I developed it when I was in my early teens. Our family went to orienteering often and then once I saw a brown bear near me in the forest. After that I did not want to go orienteering any longer. I have carried this phobia to my adult age and, for example, I am hesitant to go to any forests that are not near places where people live. Maybe I should counter this phobia by going to forests more. What do you think?

I’m deathly afraid of heights. Ladders are the worst. If I have to reach the third rung or beyond, my legs shake like hell.

I’m phobic of all insects, snakes (there are a lot here in Texas), and stray dogs. I was attacked by a stray a few years ago. It took a chunk out of my right calf, which is still scarred.

I’m also phobic of groups of people. But I recognize that as paranoia. I’m working hard to overcome that one!

Blessings,

Anthony

Doing things with my hands in front of people. It can cause me a full blown panic attack sometimes.

Apart from social phobia- fear of getting lost and although i live on the 11th floor i don’t particularly like looking down from a height. Those scenes on crime dramas involving high buildings always make me anxious.

Hmmm.
camped in the forest of Alaska, woke up to find bear poop 10’ behind the tent, and we had eaten fish the night before…said 'we had a visitor" and then went fishing again. Chased a bear up a mountain (unarmed) and went and sat on the ledge where it had been.
Though i am somewhat afraid of heights I guess it couldn’t be called a phobia.
Where the arrows are pointed…

phobia? Humans…or most humans. Always trying to manipulate or sell you something or get you to do this or that or be someone who you are not. Control factor, humans who feel they must control others or harm others, lying and cheating. throw you out if you can’t pay rent, don’t care about individuals lives, start wars…etc etc…
And, I don’t think most people here are like that…
I can get along with almost anyone but forming deep meaningful relationships I find hard simply because so very few understand what any of that means.
however i do not have social phobia though I could do without the noise and rushing around humans do and will try and spend as little time as possible in such places, preferring the woods and quiet and sound of rushing waters and birds singing, and with someone close to me who also appreciates same.

Or you could go to the zoo.

Heights. Can’t even stand near the edge of a parking structure. or any high structured edge without getting a weird feeling.

Using the phone.
Haven’t had a house phone for two and a half years. My cell has been dead for a week or so, kitty ate the cord for lunch.

Having a phobia is very frightening and can really eat away at you. Gradual exposure is a recognised way of getting over a phobia. So i would take small steps to begin with.
I have a phobia of deep water.

I also hate the phone. I am always afraid it’s bad news. It’s a pure intrusion. I just got a cell phone this last week. I still haven’t turned it on. I’m more comfortable with people, but I hate the thought of being followed. I will panic if I think I’m being followed.

I am very much like this. I also have a huge problem with men/males.

I have a massive problem with males too and i am one. The exception is there are some cool guys on sites like this I could probably get along with in 3D. But to find them in the 3D world where I live? Next to impossible…
I am not into beer guzzling, porn watching, look at girls butts and boobs, whistle at girls, talk shop, sex and sports (the 3 S’s) and all that…

I also find many males closed, emotionless, hiding behind a tough exterior which may or may not be fake, abusive to women, mean spirited, lovers of self gratification…
