Do you have a lock for your bedroom door?

For some reason my father doesn’t want locks on his bedroom doors (it’s his house)
I want some more privacy.
Do you have locks on your bedroom door?
Just curious.

Yeah and I always lock my doors because my family members like to burst in at random otherwise :unamused:

Simple lock that can be opened from the outside with a butter knife…but I have a little one who enjoys locking doors…

No locks on the doors, but it’s just me and my co-person. No worries about invasions of privacy.

I’m not even sure our bathroom doors have locks

My father usually respects my privacy.
Usually not Always.
I hope that me obsessing on privacy is not connected to my recent Paranoia.

When I was destabilized earlier I bought a lock and key for my bedroom door.
I will keep an eye on my behaviors today and if there is no improvement I’m calling my psychiatrist immediately.

I’ve had a rough past couple of days. I will probably take that extra .5 of Risperidone tonight. I hope you feel better soon.

Of course.

No, I don’t have a lock for my bedroom door. I keep my bedroom door open all the time because my kitty can’t tolerate closed inside doors. But, I live alone with my cat in my apartment. And there are security doors with guards in our apartment building. So, I feel pretty secure. No one can get in from the outside without knowing the code.

I’d freak if someone living with me put more locks on the doors. My place is like fort Knox as it is.

You should have a lock on your door if it’s agreed that it’s your own private space. I think that’s good for peace of mind.

No lock on my door, but I live alone, years ago when I shared a place a couple of room mates had a habit of just walking in using the excuse I just wanted to see if you were home. or I would come home and it was clear they had been in there snooping around

You’re an adult, right? You deserve a lock on your door. I think privacy and ownership of some space is a basic need.
