Here where I live,a lot of young people ask for money cause they are homeless. I give everything..

Not as often as I used to. I used to give regularly, if I was driving and I saw a homeless person pushing a shopping cart full of their belongings down the street I would pull over and give them $5 or $10. I don’t do that so much anymore. Now, there isn’t a lot of homeless people in my area, in fact since I moved to this section I haven’t seen even one homeless person.

Sometimes. We have a group of people in my area who beg for money, then get in fancy expensive vehicles at the end of the day and drive off. There have been warnings that they work together and are scammers. I don’t give to them.
I have given to people I thought were legitimately in need of if I had anything to spare. But, usually I buy them a meal instead of giving money. I also ask if they’d like info on local shelters to try to ask for help.

I do not. Having been homeless I’m aware of how most homeless use what is given to them. It is not for food, plenty of that in garbage cans. I give to organizations that help the homeless, especially the Salvation Army. They helped me off the streets and now I help them help others off the streets.
I also support the local food pantry and I support school food programs for disadvantaged kids.

Not saying all but in the nearby city they can be quite pestering
We had a girl sleeping rough when I worked at a supermarket and I used to buy her lunch everyday

Give them food and drinks instead of money. That way they won’t spend it on alcohol.

I use to give all the time. We have people here who brag about making $80,000 a year begging. I don’t give anymore I save my money for hard times. I’ve never begged for money nor have my friends. I did go to the church when I lost everything to get 2 weeks worth of meals. That’s when I first got sick. I believe in charitable foundations and government help but not begging. They have institutions set up to help the poor. The salvation armies CEO makes like $20 million a year and they help the poor. I give to st Jude. Good things.

When I was making money, and will again, I would give to charities, primarily through my church. Our welfare system is truly something that works. It’s a global church, and other than tithing, I give humanitarian aid everytime.

I tried to work as humanitarian for church kitchen,but it was a bit pressure.. Used to give to people and still do.

Depends on the person. The city actually put up signs on street corners saying not to give to pan handlers and instead have the phone number to donate to.
