Do you find getting a cold messes up your thinking?

I’m coming down with a cold and I’m completely muggy headed. I rarely get colds though.

In the beginning of a cold I feel really worn down which makes it a bit hard to think clearly. Is that what you mean?

Yes. I think that’s what’s happening actually… :cold_sweat:

Just be gentle with yourself for a few days. You’ll be back to normal soon

Yes. When I get sick I can’t think straight. Especially if a fever is involved. I’m absolutely worthless with a fever.

I’ve also been battling a cold. It definitely messed with my internal clock. I’ve had terrible migraines before the cold, so mix that with the cold. I’ve had to sleep in pitch darkness when the migraines come on. I will have to visit my doctor to see a neurologist about them. The voices also have resurfaced, which I’m wrestling with.

Being sick makes me emotionally unstable. I identified it as “emotional trigger”.
When I’m triggered, I feel like I can turn psychotic because I feel physically vulnerable.

A lot of people w/ my condition has some sort of a mental health problem, such as panic disorder.

Any form of cold or sickness triggers extreme anxiety and then psychotic symptoms. I’m the worst patient in the world - I hate having to ask doctors and pharmacists for help, hate being told what to do. I have a pretty good immune system so rarely get infections.

Hope you feel better soon, try to eat well & maintain healthy sleep habits.

I’m just getting over a cold, and I went to about a 5/10 on symptoms due to not sleeping well, feeling run down, sick.

I believe I get worse with my sza when I’m fighting off an illness.
