Do you ever wish you were the opposite sex?

I had never wished I was female, but I had always wished I am more good looking in person as a man though

You are good looking!

Meh… Thought about it. A bit of a stretch for me.

That’s how I feel about it. It’s never occurred to me to want to be female. There are a lot of things about being male that I like. Being male is what I got used to, and I don’t want to change it.

Well, interesting responses. I agree with @Malvok about it being a mental disorder when one actually goes about sex change or gender identity change.

I just think that women are better natured than men. They’re nicer and less inclined to violence and power motives. But I am aware that women have more expectations put on them, was taught that in a sociology class, there’s like fifty things women do to look like an ideal woman while men do like 20 things to look like an ideal man.

I don’t really wish to change sexes or gender myself, I just think that being a man is sort of crappy because they do the whole alpha male intimidation crap.

Psychologists say women are known to “tend and befriend”, which sounds a lot better than how men often try to prove themselves by conquest and accumulation of power. I naturally do male-stereotyped things. It just comes naturally. I just wonder if it’s a burden and something to contain more so than how women naturally behave.

I mean I am to the point of badass to where it scares people, but it’s not on purpose- it’s just how I am. I do admire disciplined men for how they handle their tendencies- part of why I wanted to be a soldier and now want to be a psychologist- it’s a disciplined life and it makes good use of male traits.

Is it just me or are most corrupt politicians men? Also corrupt warriors- terrorists and such. Dictators.

Also, I would like to add that the most admirable and respectable men I have met have either been intellectuals or military men. Like veterans I have met, ROTC guys, men in academia or health professions like psychology or medicine. They’re just more civil and proper, and they DO have the male drive, but they use it for good when they could use it in a much less respectable manner. My family is full of educated and religious or very moral men, and I not only love them for obvious reasons (family that raised me) but because they are good people. I’ve met plenty of men who do not make the cut as gentlemen.

Just my thoughts- I think good men are harder to find than good women.

I prefer being around Women - They seem to be more caring of others than Men.

I was Harassed and Abused by lots of different Males throughout my life.

I vowed that I would never go see a Male psychiatrist or Therapist ever again - Only females for me.

Ive had 2 Male psychiatrists in the past that were control freaks and one was Abusive - Never Again.

I am Happy to remain being a Male though - for sure.

yes but only because I want to have sex with straight guys. I would be such a ■■■■ if I was a girl

I wish I was no “sex” at all.

Actually yes. I’ve been known to go for feminine looking men. Maybe not a trans person, but feminine to the androgynous level- like “is that a guy or girl?” But of course I don’t say never about things I haven’t at least investigated.

This is interesting- brings me back to a point I have always found myself making- I like androgynous men. Can’t help it. I like androgynous women to an extent- not really one for straight up manly women. But I mean absolutely manly. Something like a muscular body on a woman would not bother me at all- I would actually like it.

I think it’s easier for men to pull of androgyny than it is for women.

But then again I have schediaphilia so everything I say is bunk.

This whole gender thing interests me. I studied the basics of it in a sociology class. I’m just curious as to how people draw their lines of when a person is “too much” like the opposite sex. It certainly is relative to culture if not each and every individual.

Brain juices are flowing…brain is active…feels good.

Woooooo! Noooooooo… that’s not how female accumulation of power works at all. Females assert their dominance differently than men. A man might beat some other guy up. A girl would get all her friends to ostracize the other girl and then after a while go in with some demands, all masked as ‘reconciliation’. People are social animals and it hurts to be excluded.

It’s like being a member of congress. I lent you my eye liner which lead to you lending me your jacket which lead to us going to the movies. Now there is a fight between you and M. It doesn’t matter who was wrong. People who know you were wrong will either take your side or just be silent because you have more leverage than M. I know very few women who will actually stand up during a disagreement and tell her friends she was wrong. That’s how you end up with no friends.

Think about it evolutionary. Women are weaker. You either find strength in the pack of also weaker creatures or you mate with the alpha. (Which is my theory of why so many women act subservient to men).

We don’t always all go to the bathroom because we love each other so much. Sometimes we just want to negotiate deals or just talk about someone in private.

Hmm…but you do still sort of “tend and befriend” as a solution to conflict other than rape and/or kill. I still think women are better.

But that is good insight, I see your point- I just find that it is still congruent with mine.

Yes, I wish I was a man. I hate being a woman.

I find androgynous men very compelling as well…most of them is engaged in fashion industry for a reason… Andrej Pejic, which is now a girl, Andreja is the worlds most famous androgynous model  its the natural gender crossing beauty

What’s that?
