Do you ever think the voices are you friends, enemies or ones you love? Does everyone hear voices a little? Do we just have a hard time determining who is who and what is real or not? Are these just imaginary friends?

Sometimes Iļø think the voices are there to warn me of danger but they are also telling me to kill myself so itā€™s hard for me.

I havenā€™t been hearing too many voices lately. But when I do they are usually people I know but not always. People I love sometimes and random ones other times. About a month ago I thought someone said ā€œthanks, hopeā€. I associated it with a internet site canā€™t recall if it was this one or not.

My voice is annoying but as soon as heā€™s gone I miss himšŸ™

Everyone would consider them as spirits or real telepathic voices if they didnā€™t know about psychosisā€¦

I know what you mean because sometimes itā€™s my family or friends and they tell me this is only they would know. Sometimes the voices are pretty cool.

I donā€™t really think any voice is a good one, as they all show their evil side at some point. I experience the same as Sheryl where they tell me to kill myself or hurt someone else. My best friend told me to just pretend that all the voices are demons that canā€™t be trusted, even if my mind is generating them on my own. It does almost seem that way though. They act all friendly at first to gain my trust, then when Iā€™m unsuspecting, they try to push my limits to see if I will inflict harm on myself or on my family. If it really is my own mind, there is no way I could ever imagine doing those things. Pretending they are demons helps me not be influenced by anything they say to me. If I assume they are friends then I fear it makes me more vulnerable.

Thatā€™s a very logical and helpful way to look at it. Because thatā€™s precisely what happens with the voices, theyā€™re nice then like a light switch they turn nasty spewing hate telling me to drown myself or slice my body to pieces.
