Once a month I donate money to animal help organizations. It’s not alot but it’s something, even if it’s a small amount.
Do you give money to charity??

Once a month I donate money to animal help organizations. It’s not alot but it’s something, even if it’s a small amount.
Do you give money to charity??
I used to but I haven’t in awhile.
Yes, I used to give to several Charities on a monthly basis, but it’s just not in my budget anymore. Earlier today I donated $2 to the local Mental Health Association at the checkout at the grocery store. It’s not a lot, but it all adds up
I give to an animal rescue organization. They save stray dogs and abandoned dogs from the streets. I can’t afford much either but they say that even a little bit of money will enable them to save the life of one dog or cat. I also give to SmileTrain, an organization who flies around the world and does free cleft palate operations for poor people who otherwise would be doomed to a life of rejection and being ostracized. Kids born with a cleft palate that goes untreated rarely live past 19.
I give when i have the extra, a dollar here, a meal there, etc, but I chose no because I can’t afford to do it all the time.
I donate to my local animal shelter where I adopted my beloved mixed breed dog years ago.
A friend of mine, who used to work for a large charity organization,
Says the best way to help people/animals is to meet a direct need.
Not to donate to charities.
So, I have three rescue dogs,
And I help people with some challenges here and there.
This is probably true because only a percentage of what you donate to a charity goes to your cause. Charities all have overhead they have to pay first before the remainder is doled out.
I donate to our local Humane Society. $20 every once in awhile when I go to the thrift store. The money stays local.
Just a few dollar here and there or to some on street.
I know people say not to give money to people begging on the street,
But I do, frequently.
If they spend it on drugs, that’s their prerogative.
There’s a guy always asking for change outside my local grocery store.
I always give him my change or whatever I have.
One day I gave him a twenty, he told me I was a cool lady.
The thrift shop that I frequent a lot is owned by Catholic Charities. So every purchase at the thrift store goes right back into CC’s programs and feeding the community.
It’s really awesome shopping there. A lot of the clothes are in great shape and the managers know me.
I really need to create a gofundme or something similar, been checking for masters abroad, particularly in the UK, and I might need to sell a kidney
Yeah, I’ve given money to the food bank during the pandemic, and dropped off food too, and my grocery store sometimes collects money for charity so they’ll ask if I want to donate $1 to such and such a charity during check out, I do that.
I don’t have a donation schedule though, I don’t know if I would be able to meet that every month. I’ve done other things like buying dinner for a homeless guy, putting money in a homeless persons collection bin, donating old clothes as long as they are in good condition.
I try to do what I can when I can.
i adopted a koala with wwf.
i pay $10 a month.
i want to adopt a platypus too but not sure if i can afford and commit to monthly.
i sometimes give to animal charities.
only a few dollars though but if everyone gave a few dollars it would add up…
i am a member of animals australia and animal justice party.
i was a peta member but they get angry at people who can not afford a brand new vegan wardrobe.
everyone isnt as rich as they must be to expect such a thing.
they got angry in a comment because i wear second hand leather and wool.
i can not afford a new wardrobe but when i buy new clothes and shoes i either buy second hand or cruelty free and vegan.
I give what I can directly to people on the street, I was homeless at one time and while I didn’t beg, I was often on the receiving end of charity. There’s a lot of need out there.
Yes I give and take. I believe what gets around comes around. When I am able to help I like giving, makes me feel good.
For my birthday Facebook suggested I donate to charity, and I raised £265 for a mental health charity in the UK
