I drive all over. When I was really psychotic, I packed up my car and drove all across America, finding work and places to stay whenever I ran out of gas money.

I drive quite a bit. The college is over an hour commute, while the pharmacy takes only 15 minutes to get to, plus my only good friend lives nearly an hour away.

never learned. I was in driver’s ed at school when I had my first psychotic break (well not exactly in that particular class…just taking it). I failed the class, and was hospitalized for about six months. After that we were told not to drive because I was still getting used to medication adjustments.

After that I never bothered to learn. Had a permit for while back but no one would teach me.

I don’t drive. I don’t have a license even though I’ve taken lots of driver’s ed classes. I’m terrified of dying in traffic :disappointed_relieved:

I reluctantly drive. It causes me A LOT of stress. But I’ve got to work and have no other way there.

I do drive. However, my husband suggested that we leave our vehicles on our property here and not drive if we move to Portland this summer. I think he is less interested in driving there than I am. Some locations are just too crowded for even a “normal” driver but driving in Portland freaks me out. I don’t have the attention span for it.

I got my license 25 years ago. A german driver license i might add, which is one of the hardest and most expensive to get. I worked a whole semester break in a warehouse in the summer to finance the driving lessons. Then i did not have a car for some years while a student…when i entered the working world i started driving cars my dad registered for me and payed tax and insurance for. Only since 12 years after my dad passed away do i own my own cars. Now I drive a Smart for four…it has 90 horse power and is perfect fir the city. I drive to work each day and sometimes on the Autobahn for destinations one or two hours outside the city to visit friend or go to the coast. I never had a serious accident so far. I am a good driver I think and i can parallel park my car without problems. But i dont like driving for many hours on end…the road kind of hypnotises me after a while…

I do drive when my husband and I need to go somewhere like shopping etc (my husband has epilepsy and is not supposed to drive because of his frequent seizures). But I hate driving and it causes a lot of stress. If i knew how to use public transport is would rather take the bus or train any day. Or walk.

My family and husband is putting pressure on me to get my license and I have been driving automatic car for four years already and struggling to get courage to take test. Failed it three times but hubby’s family trying to arrange a driving test for me where they smuggle me thru (shhhhh! Lol!)
