Do you currently Drive?

I only have just over two months sobriety, so I wouldn’t feel safe having a car right now. Besides, I rarely leave the auspices of the assisted living center where I live. They take us everywhere we need to go in vans.

I’ve driven all of my life. To very bad results. I drove for 40 years and got into so many serious accidents that I can’t count them all. Luckily, I never hurt myself or anyone else. That was a God thing. My judgement was and is so very poor that I was a terrible driver all of my life. Two years ago, I got into five accidents in one year plus two traffic citations. So, the insurance company cancelled my car insurance. That’s when I finally gave up driving for good. I sold my new used car on the internet in one day and moved into an assisted living facility that features chauffeuring services. I will never drive again and I’m glad.

I have been driving for 32 years. I drive everyday. I also drive on the freeway and in heavy city traffic. Driving doesn’t bother me. I don’t love it in busy city traffic, but it’s OK.

i usually let my wife drive if we are going somewhere in town and i drive on the highway if we are going out of town. She does not like driving on the highway or in the city. I dont mind driving at all my only problem is i dont like to go out alone i get totally paranoid if i am alone. I am not pround to say it but i actually drove across the country once totally psychotic, i have no idea how it didnt end up with something bad happening.

My unpredictable attention span makes it frightening. And then I get hallucinations that take me to other worlds.

Been driving for 36 years now, my 2 cars are a stick and the other is automatic. I also have a M1 (motorcycle) license and have a Yamaha
and a Vespa GTS250ie.

In the last 3 weeks I’ve had to drive multiple times to:
San Francisco - always fun,
Sacramento - it’s ok,
Stockton - yuck
and my personal favorite,
Oakland - keep an extra pair of panties handy after you 5h1t yourself from the crazy drivers.

Also driven many times the autobahn and from Paris, France>Luxembourg>Belgium>Holland>Germany>Denmark, end destination Sweden…in one day. That was a long day.
