Do you believe gaydar is real?

What were your posts about, was it something against the guidelines fir the forum?

That’s not true @anon30865512. I just reviewed your deleted posts and the last time you had a post deleted with any kind of web link in it was almost a year ago and that post was deleted by szadmin.

the other one just quoted studies and statistics. it was removed because the censor said in a private message basically precisely blacks are inferior which i refuted.

The looks and mannerisms of gay and lesbian people are as diverse as the looks and mannerisms of straight people.

Gay police officers, cowboys (did you know there’s a gay rodeo?), firefighters, Navy SEALS, Green Berets, Delta Force, etc.

Rock Hudson was gay.
Jodie Foster is lesbian.

Welp, I see stereotypes are alive and well … :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Big deal. I can also spot a Canadian Quebecer pretty easily. I mean, they don’t come from the largest gene pool.

Just because I state I can recognize gay people easily, doesn’t make me anti-gay. It just means I’m more in-tune and astute than most people.

the women who try to impress other women do it because they want the other women to like them.

How in the world do you know you’re guessing correctly @PatrickT? Do you ask every single person you’ve ever encountered whether they are gay or straight?

This is fundamentally the problem with stereotypical thinking. The stereotypical thinker assumes that their thinking is correct without actually bothering to try and validate it.

@Moonbeam,

If you can’t deduce whether someone is gay or not after meeting with them for a short spell, I think you have a cognitive problem.

You aren’t picking up on subtleties that most people would. My opinion anyways.

LMFAO i most certainly do not lisp or use limpy hand gestures. you sound ignorant as hell.

i do not know of any scientific peer reviewed randomized double blind placebo controlled studies of gaydar.

i don’t pay close attention to men either patrick. they could be flaming and i might just not be paying attention.

Neither do I :joy:

Dude really your stereotyping is really gross. Just stop.

I mean if someone is gay it’s usually obvious…it’s not a “gaydar”. I’m sure other gay people can recognize others better than straight people. I’m straight and can usually tell when someone is gay. Nothing wrong with that though.

Ha! Ha!

Everyone is getting mad at me for telling the truth! Sometimes this site just makes me shake my head.

You’re only recognizing those that happen to fit whatever your stereotype of gay people happens to be. All those who don’t fit the stereotype are simply not registering at all. This then further amplifies the stereotype.

Gay can appear in many ways. Just like schizophrenia can appear many different ways. I can recognize other schizophrenics but never based on stereotypes. Some gay people appear as normal people. Others are “flaming” and obvious.

One time I met someone at a bar who was bisexual. Nothing they did was out of the oridinary and they appeared normal. But I still knew. It’s not stereotyping.

Me and @SpacemanInvader are both bastards because we can spot gay people pretty easily.

Is that the upshot of all of this??
