What do you hear and how are you with it?
I hear the noise of when u put sea shells to ur ear but it may be louder.
I try n be ‘friends’ with it so that it doesn’t bother me as much.
Tinnitus aint a hallucination
Is it a voice…!! Butterfly i didnt get it…!!!
Yea I didn’t say it was…
What does that mean?
Or it sounds like pressurised gas coming out my ear. It’s not a voice
I think its due to weakness…!!! I have it sometimes…!!! Is this what u talking about…!!!
Oh. I dunno how else to explain it. Just kind of accept it as part of me
Farcry my voices used to tell me it was energy seeping out of me. As if it was making me weaker. So now I still associate it with that sometimes which I want to stop.
I’ve done a lot of research into tinnitus the past 2 months. I would say my tinnitus is bothering me more and is causing greater impairment at the moment than sz.
Tinnitus is no joke, people often kill themselves because of it. I’m not 100% sure what caused my tinnitus, but I think it was either a reaction between Cariprazine(Reagila) and Bupropion or it was caused by an ear infection I had.
It started right when I raised the dose of Cariprazine and I’ve had infections in the past without much effect on my tinnitus, although logic says it would be more likely to be caused by the infection.
At my worst, it was worse than any psychosis I’ve had. It was so loud I was up 2 nights in a row with relatively strong sleep medication.
Tinnitus, when it gets severe, is often accompanied by hyperacusis(hypersenitivity to sound), which is a big problem for me too. Hyperacusis makes loud sounds painful to hear and also spikes the tinnitus after the loud sounds are present.
My tinnitus and hyperacusis used to be manageable until about 2 months ago(rather, until 2 months ago the hyperacusis was not a big problem at all), now I can’t ride in a car without earmuffs, because it would spike my tinnitus quite badly.
My hyperacusis used to be so bad that I had to wear earmuffs even when pressing the button on the toilet, when washing my hands in the sink etc, those things would be really painful.
Luckily I’ve healed a lot since quitting cariprazine and healing from the ear infection as well, I no longer have sleepless nights even without the sleep medication and no longer need to wear earmuffs as much, though the tinnitus is still very much present and bothering me.
You should be careful with your ears from now on @anon90843118 , it could easily get worse if are exposed to very loud sounds without ear protections, like say a concert.
Good luck!
I think it may be the ear infection @anon79260656, because I have a recurring ear infection in one ear too. And that is the ear from which I hear the sound. So far it still has not cleared up. Yea I agree its no joke its constantly there when things are quiet. It bothers me too. I really appreciate just silence now.
I’m glad urs improved. And thankyou for the advice.
I put friends in ‘’ cos I’d rather it wasn’t there.
And also cos it’s a sound I’m referring to not a person or anything like that.
I have tinnitus because the beings are trying to escape my mind. It didn’t start until they said they were going to escape. Stangely enough my medicine makes it happen less often. I hear high pitched ringing and people mumbling and other stuff like wooshing and music.
I have tinnitus because of my hearing loss. My tinnitus is 100% just a really high pitched tone. That’s why I knew someone was wrong when they said the drums I started hearing first were tinnitus.
I have it from depersonalization disorder.
I didn’t realise u could get it from that.
Yeah. It went away for a little bit last month but then it came back because I was focusing on it too much because I was so happy that it went away.
I have Tinnitus too and it sounds like cicadas on a hot summers day.
I dont have thedisorder called tinnitus. But sometimes i hear electrical sound in my head/ears. I enjoy it. I like all physical sensations in my body.
I also have tinnitus. Luckily it isn’t too intrusive and I am able to live a largely happy life too. I figure I got it from years of loud music as I was a musician for quite some time. I technically got it when I was in the hospital last year. I had a roommate who would blast gangsta rap music really loudly which most likely contributed to me developing tinnitus
