I am having hallucinations and visions over and over. It is very disturbing.
Distractions. They help. I need them. I have a few that are helping me. What helps you? I would like to hear others ideas

Listen to music with .
Yea music helps me, I listen to music all day even in the shower.
Music doesn’t help me. Makes it worse. I think I need visual distraction matbe. Tv is one distraction that helps me though. What kind of music do you listen to? @GrayBear @Aziz
For me TV is worse, news and most contents are triggering for me but we’re all different I guess. I don’t watch TV. I listen to lots of music types, reggaeton, english and french rap/hiphop, arabic, dancehall and sometimes house music.
Exercise is helpful. Go for a walk with someone or do some light in-home aerobics.
Specifically I watch The Office over and over. I have watched all seasons over a dozen times. I even watch it to fall asleep.
My brother used to watch this, maybe he’s still watching it.
For some reason it is calming for me @Aziz
Video games are pretty chill. Something non triggery. I like retro stuff for that.
Back in 2008 when I was unmedicated, the person or entity monitoring our house would talk to me on the TV set. They would also broadcast embarrassing things about me. I have to turn the TV off at times.
I am sometimes monitored via my tv but only when they are really focused on me. The bedroom in my bedroom has always been safe. My whole room is safe
@mike1
That would be a really good distraction I could see that working. If something were really simple. TY
How about you just draw something I’m sure someone will like it a lot and it works.
That might help. Maybe colouring. I will try colouring tomorrow because it is visual. I forgot I have a really good book. I am watching The Office right now. It helps
Do you have a Playstation 3 or 4 controller? Instant retro setup.
Have an xbox one @naturallycured
What kind of games
That can work fine too. Basically plug and play, I think. On windows at least.
Try SNES or Playstation RPGs, there’s so many of them. JRPGs are really relaxing.
Try Chrono Trigger for SNES, that’s a great one.
Play hard cognitive training apps like dual n back. The more mental resources you use less space left for needless thoughts and worries. Remain busy.
