Whats a good distraction for schizophrenics?

Whats a good time passer (besides tv, movie, music, passive activities, etc) to help distract yourself from confused thinking and paranoia?

Knitting, while following a knitting recipe.
It helps me keep my focus on my knitwwork and away from my own head, and it’s something I can do while I watch tv or drink coffee with my neighbor

I do word search, crossword puzzles, and read and write. Sometimes it gives me a headache, but I take a drink of water and figure “No pain, no gain.”

Taking a walk outside helps

I like to sort things, all kinds of things, or take a sharp knife and ‘clean’ off sticky things on the floors.

Dissecting the dryer lint can entertain for hours, just think ‘birds nest.’

You can always try to invent something or think up something that hasn’t been done.
