Did your insomnia improve over time?

If your medication caused insomnia did it improve after switching? I’m still dealing with a bit of insomnia after being on risperidone but I’m still able to sleep some at night. I’m just wondering if my sleep will ever go back to normal. Sleep aids don’t work. Risperidone blocked me from feeling sedated from other meds so it kind of sucks

I don’t know. I haven’t been able to sleep for 2 weeks. I’m on the Abilify shot. I think that’s what’s doing it

I had insomnia after years on paliperidone which is like risperdal. I quit my job for that among other withdrawal effects. My insomnia has been replaced by sleeping a lot and at odd hours. However i have no reason to keep regular schedual

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that. Abilify was awful for me too. Are you able to switch medications?

Seroquel got rid of mine entirely. I’m not even on it anymore.

That’s good to hear! So your insomnia got better? That’s what I’m hoping for. I switched to Geodon & im sleeping again but it’s very broken & I wake up early

Seroquel is like a sugar pill for me. I get no sedating effect from it anymore. My Geodon doesn’t sedate me either. Neither does Trazodone so I feel kinda stuck

Im on rexulti. I sleep a full night usually and fall asleep again a few hours after taking it

That’s great! I’m on Geodon but my sleep hasn’t fully returned. I’m hoping it levels out

I’ve been on Geodon off and on since 2019 and it only sedated me the first week or so.

I really like it so far. Risperidone made me feel flat & so far I’m feeling human again

When i fall asleep during tge day i have vivid dreams

Yeah mine are very vivid. Almost like my psychosis dreams. I had very vivid/terrible dreams when I was in psychosis. They’re not as terrible but they’re weird lol

Does the Rexulti make you sleepy or did your sleep schedule level out?

Is abilify a new drug for you then yea? I’m on abilify too. I take the capsules tho
