Rexulti makes me sleepy. My sleep schedule didnt really get better on its own.

I’ve had bad sleep on all of the atypical eg Geodon, Risperdal, Zyprexa and Seroquel. I’m in the process of getting rid of the Seroquel.
Only good old Zuclopenthixol can put me to sleep and that’s the only drug I need.

I’m happy it helps you. Nothing helps me. I was even prescribed Trazodone & it did nothing.

I’m hoping Geodon treats me better than risperidone. I feel like I’m not gonna sleep tonight.

I noticed, I sleep better after being proscribed prozac/fluoxetine the SSRI. but not well enough to have a good sleeping pattern, just well enough to have a pattern. some sleep at night, some sleep during the day. two cycles of day for me

Dear girl I really understand how frustrating insomnia can be. While on Geodon I slept for 12 hours and after that I was awake for 40 hours. Now I finally sleep after staying 30 hours awake so I’m doing much better now. Without the Ziprasidone.
I’m in the process of getting of the Seroquel aswell.
Zuclopenthixol is ranked at the strongest antipsychotics in regards to sleep. If you are susceptible to side effects then Zuclopenthixol is not the way to go and if not I just want to remark that it’s the most sleep inducing antipsychotics ever made. Yes it’s even more sedating than Clozapine.

I slept last night but not well. I feel like my sleep is permanently ruined after risperidone. I’ve been off it for 2 weeks & my sleep hasn’t gone back to normal

Is your medication available in the US? My problem is nothing puts me to sleep. I can’t feel the sedation from other medications

I slept so well last night! From 11pm to 5am !!!
But now the problem is I have absolutely no freaking idea why it happened

I’ve always had trouble falling asleep. Once I eventually do, most of the time I sleep well and long. My olanzapine makes me sleep 12 hours at a time usually.

I have a feeling I won’t be sedated enough on olanzapine. Nothing can make me tired anymore

Yes. Geodon caused me terrible insomnia. Once I switched, I was able to sleep again thankfully

Did it take time before your sleep improved or was it immediate? Risperidone caused me insomnia & I’ve been off of it for 2 weeks & still sleep like crap

It seems that I’ve reached the golden spot with 400 mg qutiapine once daily course I slept 9 hours after having been awake for 22 hours. So now where my sleep have settled I see no reason for changes.
The reason for that you can’t sleep may be dose dependent.

I would say it took just over 2 weeks. Basically, once Geodon was mostly out of my system, I could sleep again.
