Some researchers say that Delusional Disorder is a partial psychosis, and I wonder what that means, because delusion(s) falls under the definition of psychosis.
Psychosis is syndrome, meaning theres a complex of symptoms, I’m guessing they consider it partial because in the case of delusional disorder there’s only one or two.
If you paid for a full psychosis and you only got a partial psychosis it means you should call the Better Business Bureau.
Sorry, that’s all I got.

What does it mean when a person is delusional?
In the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, a delusion is defined as: A false belief based on incorrect inference about external reality that is firmly sustained despite what almost everybody else believes and despite what constitutes incontrovertible and obvious proof or evidence to the contrary.
What are the five symptoms of psychosis?
What are the signs and symptoms of psychosis?
- Suspiciousness, paranoid ideas, or uneasiness with others.
- Trouble thinking clearly and logically.
- Withdrawing socially and spending a lot more time alone.
- Unusual or overly intense ideas, strange feelings, or a lack of feelings.
- Decline in self-care or personal hygiene.
Without much more thought on the difference. Belief seems to be the main component that designates a delusion.
Psychosis does not seem to be a firm belief. Psychosis is being severely disturbed and suspicious and troubled with thinking.
Delusion is when one forms a firm believe about something that is not reality
Like saying my psychosis formed into a delusion
This explanation is much better. I was a bit confused as what Delusional Disorder as a partial psychosis means.
