Is akathisia when you have trouble focusing…or have a short attention span?

No, when you have restless legs. And you can’t stand still

Oh, thanks. I had restless legs on Olanzopine and had to stop that drug because it was keeping me awake all night.

Restless legs are just like twitchy legs at night, whereas akathisia is a compulsion to move and stay in motion. I’ve had both, restless legs was not quite as bad. Do you have anything to take for it?

Cogentin was necessary practically when I was on prolixin. The one time I didn’t take it I got in a car accident

I would ask for some medicine to fix it. Akathisia can be torture and is associated with suicide

When I was on 140mg of Latuda, which is almost the max dosage, I had akathisia. My pdoc backed med off to 120mg and prescribed me propranolol. Since then it hasn’t been as much of a problem for me. Hope the med you take for it helps, @anon94176359. I know how uncomfortable it can be.

I’m the same as @disciple. I am on 120mg of Latuda and take propranolol. Without it my akathisia is awful.
